Janitah Iamaleava, the 6-foot-2 post from Carson High School in California, gave her verbal commitment to the University of Oregon according to her Cal Sparks club team director, Elbert Kinnebrew. She also considered Arizona State, Boston College, Fresno State, Gonaga, Kansas, Louisville and North Carolina.

"Janitah is a sharpshooting post who fits well with the Oregon up-tempo, Quick shooting, style of play favored by the 'Guru of Go' Paul Westhead," Kinnebrew said in an email. "Her ability to bang inside and step out to knock down the money ball makes her a natural fit as a 'trailing post' in Eugene." 

The Ducks landing Iamaleava gives the program three commitments in the 2011 class. The Long Beach native will join two players from the state of Washington -- Jordan Loera, a point guard from Moses Lake, and Lexi Petersen, a guard from Seattle.
