Jana Wright verbally committed to Lipscomb University this eve 09/26/2010
Class of 2011 Jana Wright from Miami, FL has played the last two seasons with the South Florida Lady Jaguars and is now at Miami Norland Sr. High. Wright was 1st team all Dade county last season and hopes to help lead Norland to it's ThreePeat in Lakeland this season!
Wright was a major contributor the the South Florida Lady Jaguars the last two seasons. Wright helped lead the team to an Adidas EA Sports National Championship last season and made some incredible key plays this season which was the winningest Jag Elite Team season in Lady Jaguars history.
Wright is also the youngest player in the history of the Lady Jaguars to be committed to a college. Even though she is a senior this year, Wright is only born in 1994 and if it were'nt for her family moving her up a few grades
Wright would technically be a sophomore.
I asked Jana what she liked the most about Lipscomb and she replyed "Lipscomb University has the total package. A D1 basketball program, an outstanding atheltic facility and achievement awards for high academics."
Wright went on to say that "She felt like she made a bond and connection with the team and the coaching staff gave her special attention."
