Basketball X's & O's (Coaches Weigh In)
« on: September 06, 2010, 01:02:30 PM »
The game of basketball is unique and that is why we all love it.  In no other sport does it require the multi-level athlete who is asked to be a long distance runner combined with a plyometric phenom to execute a series of patterns and reads which require total execution by all 5 players.  It is for this reason, I love the game of basketball.  One of the strategies I feel is under used is the Box Offense. Especially, the woman's game could benefit for the use of the box offense and its highly touted series of defensive reads designed by a combination of the Princeton backdoor series, the UCLA post rub cut, and the valued Bobby Knight motion offense principles. Its for this reason I can't suggest a strategy with more proven experience and winning value then the Box Offense.  Check out the Box Offense at http://shop.coachmac-basketball.com if you're serious about winning this season.
