
2012 superstar Brittney Martin picks Utah, will stay in state
One week after trimming her list of schools to four, Utah Flight standout Brittney Martin has made her choice, deciding to stay in state and play for the University of Utah, according to her club coach, Mary Waters of the Utah Flight. Martin's decision comes after the 2012 prospect blew up on the circuit, catching the eye of many college coaches with her combination of athleticism and strength.
Considered the best player to come out of the state since Michelle Harrison (who went on to play at Stanford), Martin chose the Utes over UCLA, Arizona State and Cal. She had been on all four campuses in the last few weeks, and decided to pull the trigger early.

"Brittney always knew that she wanted to play in the Pac-10, so when Utah was added to the Pac-10 earlier this year, it made her choice much easier," Waters said. "Now she had the option to play in the Pac-10 and stay close to home. Brittney is just the type of recruit that Utah needed to land to become a competitor
