Lauryn Webster Commits To Wake Forest
« on: August 20, 2010, 10:23:42 AM »

Lauryn Webster of Marietta, Ga., committed to Wake Forest on Thursday night, according to her club coach, Percy Gordon of Georgia Pistols Elite.

The 6-foot-3 post chose the Demon Deacons over Furman, Arkansas and James Madison, Gordon said, because she felt a connection with the coaching staff and believed Wake Forest provided an opportunity to pursue a path in the field of medicine.

Webster plays at Marietta on one of the largest front lines in the nation that also includes 6-3 senior DeArica Hamby and 6-1 junior Kiana Hayes.

Her high school coach, Ken Sprague, just sent me the same message.  Lauryn will be with her team when they compete in the Junior Orange Bowl Basketball Classic this December.  Congratulations to her.
