Miah Register, Chelsea Walters, Deborah Gordon, Clarissa Coddington, Zachara Bailey, April Carson, Jasmine Kelly, Jana Wright

Top Performers:
April Carson - Averaged a double double in the 3 of 4 games also averaged 5 steals per game - The Jags leading rebounder did not dissapoint. Carson's defense was superb and offense was excellent as she made some great passes and knocked down some really tuff shots. 1 turn over the entire weekend!!!

Clarissa Coddington - Game Winner in OT vs Winston Salem Steelers - Coddington pushed the rock up the floor hard and forced other teams to work whlie in transition defense. Coddington was fantastic in the championship game vs Queens City and averaged 28 minutes played per game.

Deborah Gordon - #33 Brought a huge spark off the bench and made some very athletic plays. Great rebounder and can post up or knock down the Three!!! Her tuffness and IQ proved that she can play at the top level. Was also the top scorer in the Exodus victory. A FANTASTIC find for the Jags!

Miah Register - Had a SOLID tournament. Attacks the basket hard and makes plays - Excellent passer off the draw and kick. Register dazzled coaches with her stop and pop and spin moves.

Chelsea Walters - Top lock down defender, Walters was able to virtually shut down our opponents top guard in every game. Bring 120% heart and hustle to every game!

Jana Wright - Blocked the opponents shot and made the big steal to take us into overtime vs the Winston Salem Steelers. Excellent on the ball defender. Wright point guard skills allowed the Jags to move Coddington to the wing and Wright ran the point. Wright's 1st step is one the quickest and she attacked the basket.

Jasmine Kelly - Excellent full court defender and great ball handler. Kelly was an sold key to the execution of our offensive and defensive strategy.

Zachara Bailey - provided some good spark off the bench! In the championship game Bailey took to charges which helped the Jags gain back needed possesions. Bailey was also selected to compete the the Peach State Hoops Showcase and was the highlight of the afternoon earning MVP of her team.

The South FL Lady Jaguars have an important roster & Jersey number change. PLEASE NOTE THAT #33 IS DEBORAH GORDON

Deborah Gordon will be with us for the rest of the summer. She is 6'1" and an outstanding athlete. Gordon just helped lead us to the Championship at Peach State Best Of Summer where she had a huge game and we won.

If you are not in TN but have coaches here. Please let them know of the player change. Alexis Thompson is NOT #33. That now belongs to Deborah Gordon.

I am so glad to see Deborah Gordon getting the recognition she deserves.  I told anyone who would listen this girl was for real.

She deserves to be on any list of top 2011 players in the state.  She can do it all.  More importantly she has her priorities in order and is simply
a great girl.

Wellington - You and her high school coach did a great job with her! She came in with all the fundamentals needed to compete at this level. She brought her own heart and we are bringing the exposure!

A lot of schools are on her now. She will prove all the doubters wrong. Gordon is legit.

Billy and Mayor:

Seriously the real credit goes to her high school coach Sean Dougherty and her own work ethic.  I simply pushed her as hard as I could for as long as I could.

I really enjoyed coaching her and I'm so glad this worked out for her.  Sometimes you have to be willing to let somebody else take your dream to a higher level.

She appears to be in a great situation with the Jags and showing out in front of top coaches.  It's all about the kids.  I will be following her progress closely . Thanks for all you guys are doing for her.

Good luck.
