Day 2 in the books! So far our camp is going great! I have to commend our players for their sincere commitment to excellence. The competition is fierce. We purposely sought out the best travel players in our area to ensure a very competitive atmosphere. After speaking with multiple parents and players alike, they assured me this is the most competitive camp they've attended.

I have to give big props to two of your own Jaguars, Lauren & Erin Gutierrez. These sisters can flat out play!

Erin: Point guard skills far beyond her young age. She has held her own and in some cases dominated the boys. Observing her in drills is unbelievable! On the court she attacks the basket off the dribble with vengeance. Initially, I thought her and 1's were luck. After watching her consistently drive, take the hit and finish proved me wrong. Defensively, she gets down and dirty! The sky is the limit for this young athlete.

Lauren: A 7th grader who can play high school basketball NOW! An example for all to emulate. She gives 110% in ALL drills! A perfectionist and never takes the easy way out. She is an ultimate team player, a proven captain while on the court. A pure shooter from multiple spots. Her ability to attack and finish around the basket is outstanding. She certainly is a top contributor while playing with the boys. From a coach's standpoint, she is the epitome of true leader. Defensively, she possesses foot work equal to that of a varsity player. I attribute her success to her dedication to learning and playing with 110% effort on every play. The future, well, remember the name, it won't be far from your local sports page.
