Coach of the Year

Linda Sibio

American Heritage

2009-10 record: 26-5 (ninth season with the Patriots); Overall: 151-79

Comment: After the graduations of key players, a relatively young Patriots team was able to compete against tough opponents. Heritage clinched a fifth consecutive district championship and advanced to the state tournament for the first time in school history. "I think from the beginning, if you would have asked me early on, I would have said sure, we'll have a good season," Sibio said. "But once we beat Jupiter, a very good 6A team in the Vero Beach tournament, and had a turning point at the Trinity Christian game, you saw their was potential. These girls, their will and their desire to win and motivate themselves was so great."
