Senior power forward/center at Nova High, Jassany Willams has verbally committed to the University of Auburn on 10/04/2009.
Jassany Williams is one of the most recruited post players in the country. Williams has garnered interest from over 200 Divison I schools.
After getting her list down to 5, Williams has given her commit to Auburn. She will be a huge boost to the Auburn back court and should
have an immidiate impact on the program.
Jassany Williams has seen great success at Nova High school where she help lead her team to it's first ever birth to a state finals.
On the way to the state title game Williams led Nova to three high school tournament championships which included the Jr Orange Bowl Classic,
Savannah Holiday Classic and the MLK Championship. Williams, now a senior, looks to trump that this season and win a state championship at Nova High.
She has shown to be a great leader so far this season and looks to make a strong push for the first championship in the schools history.
I asked Williams what the deciding factor was in her decision and she replyed "I had to go with my gut feeling. In the end Auburn felt like home."
Jassany Williams was the key player for Team Breakdown this summer where she spent last and final summer as an AAU player.
Prior to that Williams was with the South Florida Lady Jaguars program for several years.
